Well good morning Carla!  Glad to see you up and around and feisty! I just got up to take some tylenol and fix a cup of tea.  I am sore tonight!  I went back to cardiac rehab not because of heart issues but because I haven't been exercising and I know that is part of the weight gain I've had, so I did a good work out and I can feel it.  Not as bad as it could have been, just enough that moving in bed is sore!  We started testing our upgrade at work yesterday and I was pretty busy with that all day.
Watched the game on my big TV with dad, Gary, my son and his gf.  Great game!  very exciting right up until the end.  been doing some knitting lately and a little basket weaving.  I want to get some baskets made up to sell in the shop at the village near here.  It seems unusual for me to not be working on home projects, but actually kind of nice too!  No money=no renovations!  LOL
Hope you all have a great Tuesday!  I'm off to bed again!

Good evening/morning Carla and all you other OFFers.

Not a bad day, except my boss at my first job made me work.  The nerve of him.  He gave me about 3 reams of printed paper that needed to be cut into 4 strips.  Each sheet of paper had 4 addresses and phone numbers on it.  I just needed to seperate them.  No concern about neatness, so I could cut 8 or 10 at a time.  I looked at him and said "Steve, I intended to work on my fantasy baseball tonight".  HE APOLOGIZED.  I laughed and told him I was just kidding.  (By the way, I had just gotten a $1 an hour raise last week).  He told me all I was was a glorified babysitter for adults.  Not a bad gig.

Got some work to do here actually, so I guess I better get on it.

Good Morning Carla!

Gee, it's good to see you and hear that you are starting to feel human again. Isn't it funny about that taste thing? After WLS my taste changed radically for months. I can't imagine not having any taste at all. Hopefully that's just a temporary thing. Remember tho how important it is for you to get nutrition in even if you can't taste it.

I've been MIA for a few days. I went ahead and went to my Lake Chelan/Spokane (Annie, the musical) trip tho I was already dealing with a cold. Well, the cold progressed into another dreaded sinus infection. I had one just before the cruise in October. When I sneeze, cough, or bend over I feel like my head is going to explode! Well, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but not much. Went to the clinic yesterday and got meds. We're supposed to go back to Erin's and watch the twins for the weekend so that Erin and Josh can take a 2 night anniversary trip close to home.

Man has life changed for them in 2 years. Anniversary 1: honeymoon, anniversary 2: cruise to Caribbean, and now number 3: a quick 2 nights within 100 miles of home! Both babies are feeling much better and sleeping well. If that holds up we can survive!

Hannah's little "up and at em" personality is really developing. Erin said she threw a regular little "Foley Fit" named after my mom the other day. Mom had a short fuse when she had had enough and would just let it fly. I guess Hannah carried on for about 20 minutes the other morning while Erin was getting them ready for day care. She had fed, changed, "snarfed", cleaned faces and dressed them. Hannah was last. She does NOT like the nose snarfing, can't say that I blame her. She really got worked up and continued on and on. Erin said she would follow her from room to room. Whenever Erin would stop she would turn off the tears and crying. As soon as Erin resumed trying to get ready to go she would start up again. When she realized that Hannah was ok, she said it was so hard not to laugh! And I thought Clara was going to be the little drama queen. Can you just imagine this household when they are about 13????

Jean B, I'm so happy for your family and will be anxiously awaiting Hunter's arrival! I'm jealous that you live close to your daughter's family, but happy for you.

I'm going to take some Tylenol Cold NIght time and try to get a bit more sleep. You all take care.

Good morning Carla and everyone.......

I have been up since 4:30...just can't sleep. Too much on my mind. Things are not going well with Kyleigh (granddaughter).I am worried silly over her and of course Nic (grandson) too!! Can't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet!!

Last Friday the maintenance people from my townhouse development came in to replace the sprinkler heads because of a recall. What a mess!! Some of the pipes broke when they tried to remove the old heads. Thus holes in the walls....ugh!! There are several heads that needed replacing including in my bedroom closet. Yesterday they were back to drywall the holes. I could cry.....that drywall dust is everywhere already and they will be back today and tomorrow to do more. All that sanding coming up will really make a bigger mess!! On top of that I have asthma and COPD.....having breathing problems already!!  Sorry enough whining...I just needed to vent!!

Carla....glad you are getting out of the house and doing a few things. That is a good sign. Those grandbabies of yours give me the giggles. Such antics....oh my!!!!!

Hope everyone can find some happiness in their day.
Special prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all......connie d

Good morning Carla.  Good to see you.
Not much going on for me but just wanted to check in.  We had a beautiful warm Saturday (73)but now it is cold again. May have snow showers today. Oh, the wonders of living in KS.
I found 5 of those 10 lbs I lost when I had the stomach flu.  Yikes!  But guess as long as I keep holding my own, I won't get bent out of shape.
My thyroid number was up a little so the Dr. increased my dosage. Not alot though.
Well better get going and get ready for work.
Take care,
Mickey

Morning everyone,

Carla, it's so good to see you're getting better. You've had us worried, gal!

I was so proud of myself for getting a mile in on the "new" treadmill yesterday. I had my water and my book and it went really well. The ankle held up better than expected. As soon as Gary got home from work he changed clothes and got on to do his 30 minutes and the motor burned out!!  So much for "the best $25 we've ever spent" (his comment not 5 minutes before meltdown). Now we have an albatross in the sunroom. He thinks he can replace the motor, and it will still be less than a new one, but dang....one day. One stinking day!

Work has slowed back down, looks like a trend emerging; busy two weeks, slow for four. Yesterday there was a bit on the Today show that 64% of women have cut back on all personal services. Great. The good news is that I have time today to barter some services for our gal who does the Saint Bella graphic designing, so I feel good about doing that for her. Trading services is a wonderful thing, for sure.

Karen, your grands sound wonderful. There was a thing on one of the funniest video shows about a little boy who threw a tantrum that only lasted while mom was out of sight. I think they won $5000...that would give mom and dad at least one more cruise!

Connie, good thoughts going out to your grands. What a heavy load you have on your shoulders, now drywall dust too.

Hope everyone else is doing well and you have a good day. Hugs to all!

Susan

Good Morning Carla and all offers. well we are on are way home now...had to leave beautiful Tucson sometime or the other i guess. didnt want to. love it there. We are going to go back in the summer time for a couple of weeks to see if the heat is what everyone says before we make any decisions. but we did look at some land there right at the base of the mountains, and i know my arthritis didnt hurt the whole time i was there and i climbed mountains and walked and walked all over . and i sure could get use to the fact that there cold days in winter were 59 and 60 lol
was the first time i have been warm in my bones in the winter time since surgery...and that i could breath too.my sinues were fine there too. so dont know.  i know i lived in west Texas in the desert which i hated because it was all sand and nothing else much but do know that the heat would get well over 100 but if you got in a shade tree you were cool...the desert out there is any thing but just sand it is really beautifuul and the mountains oh my gosh. they are just stupendeous .well enough about that , i am already freezing to death again and we are only in New Mexico. we hopefully will be home around the 10th as we have a long way to go and stops will be made along the way to rest.
take it easy everyone    JAN C.
